Configuration Manager - DIRECT LABOR
M anage and implement all Command and Control Mission System configuration management activities to ensure systems architectures, hardware, and applications are tracked, implemented as designed, and properly documented in accordance with the SOF Air Mission Suite (SAMS) configuration management process and associated systems of record processes to manage and support the configurations of SAMS-C2 server, SAMS-C2 client, SAMS-ESA client, SAMS-TGGRS, SAMS-COOP, and the AOC weapon systems.
- Operate and manage the SAMS configuration management Process, including monthly planned configuration boards, and hosting out-of-cycle boards. Establish tracking plans, milestones, collaborate with stakeholders, document meetings and actions, and recommend future goals and efforts.
- Establish a hardware, software, and systems of interest master tracking lists to include names, descriptions, sources, framework, license, and other associated information. Automated tools may be used to enable tracking.
- Track SAMS configurations as derived from the master lists, using a government approved naming and numbering system.
- Establish both physical and electronic software libraries at each operating location. Maintain physical and electronic libraries in accordance with DoD, Air Force, USSOCOM, and other applicable governing publications.
- Track and report weekly all C2MS version implementations at all in-garrison and deployed locations.
- Provide information assurance and certification and accreditation services for all C2MS systems.
- Produce and staff Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) information assurance documentation and actions in accordance with DoD, AF, USSOCOM, and other applicable governing publications.
- Perform vulnerability assessment against SAMS standard builds. Develop and distribute monthly SAMS configurations update to address security and application updates to all in-garrison and deployed AFSOF, ensuring all operating locations have and receive required applicable security and application updates
Qualifications: - 8-10 years of related configuration management experience along with implementing or managing IT systems and networking technologies.
- DoD 8570.01 IAM Level 2 certification required
- Formal DIACAP training required.
- Experience and skills to produce and work with the following required:
- DIACAP documentation, artifacts, products, and using tools.
- EITDR system, artifacts, and products.
- Experience with eMASS and Xacta.
- ITIL v3 Foundations certification desired
