Desktop Support
Purpose & Scope
Default Consulting International (DCI) is seeking an experienced, self motivated IT Helpdesk Specialist to join our organization. DCI is a shared services organization dedicated to providing an array of quality services to small and midsize companies within the legal and mortgage banking industries.
This is a hands-on position. This person will be a key communicator to our clients when they have support needs and will provide direct support to the end users on all company supported applications including analyzing, planning, designing, and installing new personal computer systems, troubleshooting computer and/or application problems, determining the source of the issue, and advising the appropriate network or system support personnel on the details of the issues and possible resolutions.
The ideal candidate will have 1 to 5 years’ experience in systems support in a variety of settings, will be self-motivated, and will have the experience and willingness to provide the highest level of customer service to all users.
Requirements:
- 1-5 years of experience in a technical customer support role
- Effective telephone communicator
- Experience troubleshooting hardware issues and replacing hardware on both desktop and laptop PCs.
- Experience installing software, patches, updates on Desktops and Laptops
- Experience troubleshooting basic network, software and printing problems in a multi-location environment.
- Experience working in a Citrix environment
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office, Windows XP, Vista, and 7, Web Help Desk, Active Directory and Dameware is a plus
- Experience with Help Desk ticketing systems
- Well organized and capable of making decisions
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Strong attention to detail
Qualifying Experience
- Assist staff with the installation, configuration and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software.
- Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software
- Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, application servers and administrative systems.
