GENERAL SUMMARY
Manages and directs the activities of store personnel within a given geographic area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. DRIVE sales by delivering exceptional customer service per Operations P&P Manual. 2. Implement and deliver the DMIT Training Program to include acting as a coach for the program and assessing goal attainment through completed assessments. 3. Train store personnel on standard operating procedures as well as State and Federal laws and regulations. 4. Communicate consistently with store personnel to insure understanding and compliance with standard operating procedures. 5. Act as the liaison between headquarters and the stores. 6. Take appropriate actions to insure each store maximizes sales, minimizes asset loss, and conforms to budgetary requirements. 7. Partners with Home Office with personnel issues and company compliance standards. 8. Research store discrepancies and analyze reports, trends in the market. Respond to all store level issues. 9. Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion. 10. Extensive travel from store-to-store (up to 90%) within a given geographic area. 11. Perform work of subordinates as needed. Must be able to perform essential functions of all store positions. 12. Support and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines. 13. Communicate with employees at all levels of the company. 14. Ability to work varying days and hours, based on business needs. 15. Ability to maintain an excellent attendance record. 16. Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
1. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with HW & L policies, procedures, and applicable laws. 2. Supervise Store Managers through planning, assigning, and directing their overall functions. 3. Appraise subordinates on positive performance and administer formal performance evaluations. 4. Recruit, select, develop, and train store personnel on proper store operations and procedures, and other positions as needed. 5. Administer the progressive steps of discipline to include verbal and written warnings. In addition, the DSM carries out employment terminations following approval from Human Resources. 6. Direct compliance of store personnel with established company policies, procedures and guidelines including, but not limited to, safekeeping of company inventory, funds and property. 7. Address complaints and problem solve when appropriate with the assistance of the RD. Requirements
1. Four year degree in business or a related field and one year relevant experience or; two year degree in a related field and at least two years of relevant experience or; three years of relevant experience. 2. Proven supervisory skills 3. Proven ability to perform independently with minimal supervision 4. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear, audible, and grammatically correct manner. 5. Ability to operate a computer, as well as maneuver relative software programs. 6. Posses a current valid driver's license, certificate of insurance coverage, and the ability to drive an automobile. 7. Driving required for up to 100% of the daily work schedule. 8. Standing required for up to 90% of the daily work schedule. 9. Ability and willingness to travel overnight for training and/or business meetings.
