Maintenance Mechanic
A regional food manufacturing plant is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for their facility located in Northern Florida to provide technical support in a professional manner to the manufacturing operations. This includes experience in plastic or blow molding operation, performing preventative maintenance, repair and upgrades to optimize efficiency, increase productivity, and assure safety. The position will focus on PLC and PID control.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Observe the daily manufacturing process and communicate and/or implement improvements to the operation.
Maintain the operation in a manner that conforms to Local, State, AIB and Food Safety Standards required by the company
Follow company guidelines for Good Manufacturing Practices when performing the requirements of Maintenance Mechanic.
Examine, inspect, repair or replace components, including PLC and PID controls, to maintain operational standards and efficiencies in all areas needed and where cross- training has been provided.
Secure a Forklift Operator Certification within 60 days of employment.
Proficiency in the work order module of the computerized Maintenance Management System used in the City of Industry facility.
Provide training of PIC and PID controls to maintenance associates.
Cycle equipment or system to assure safe and correct operation.
Set up and safely operate tools typically found in a maintenance environment, (lathe, drill press, grinder, welder, etc.).
Complete other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
5+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

MUST BE OPEN TO RELOCATION TO Northern Florida (Possible relocation assistance offered)
Salary: $18-$19 an hour
