Quality Analyst

Job Purpose:
Responsible for Quality Assurance testing new or existing software solutions working together with the software development team. The position applies subject matter expertise and ensures that software projects meet requirements specified to meet our business needs.
Duties:
- Solid understanding of quality assurance testing methodology relative to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Hands on integration testing experience across multiple systems
- Defines test objectives, writes test cases and test scenarios based on external and internal design specifications
- Perform testing of Web Services in complex systems integration environments consisting of Web, Application and Database servers, as well as integration testing
- Prepare business test plans, including definition of testing requirements; testing criteria, test scripts, user acceptance conditions and cycle (end-to end) test requirements and complete requirements traceability.
- Should be fluent in backend SQL data manipulation and writing SQL queries.
- Ensure software performs properly and is easy to use
- Perform functional, regression, load simulation and system testing
- Coordinate and manage the execution of functional, regression and user acceptance testing for all assigned projects
- Assist in implementing all actions required to deploy an application
Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience with software testing management tools preferably HP Quality center
- Experience with manual, automatic and performance testing
- Must be proficient with MS Office applications, MS SQL server
- 5 7 years QA work experience required
- Excellent communication skills
- Prefer experience in high volume transaction testing
Education:
- Degree in Computer Sciences
