Senior Data Network Engineering Architect
MAJOR DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS

This position will include interfacing directly with the client's Strategic Planning Team located in Orlando FL.

This position will oversee the client's future Data Network Engineering strategy as well as ensuring ACSâ?Ts strategy is in line with the client's strategy going forward.

This position will report to the ACS Network Service Delivery Manager and will be responsible for a variety of activities and strategic efforts within the Data Network Engineering arena. The primary role will be to provide strategic and architectural direction for the client's Data Network, including WAN, LAN, MAN, Internet, MPLS and others. The candidate will interact with the customer and vendors to gather requirements, solutions to meet emerging business needs. The candidate will be responsible for documenting those requirements and working with the team (customer, vendors, and internal engineers) to design, develop and oversee implementations that meet the customerâ?Ts requirements and maximize availability of those systems.

This candidate must bring a passion for data networking strategy along with the ability to set corporate direction for a multi layered business organization.

Education:
College degree from accredited university (Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science preferred). Technical certification in Computer Science or related telecommunications field is also acceptable. Cisco certification is helpful but not required.

Technical Requirements
Data Network design experience â?" 10+ years
Voice network design would be a plus
Knowledge of data networking including TCIP, UDP, RTP protocols.
Knowledge of multiple networking protocols
Knowledge of protocol Analyzers
Data Network Capacity Planning
Network Management Systems knowledge
Operational Monitoring tools knowledge including SNMPv2/v3
SLA Management
Product life cycle planning
Product solution management
Ability to analyze, design and collaborate multiple layer network architectures
Research, recommend, and oversee implementation of new technology products
