SUMMARY

 


To ensure the Store’s assets are maintained, inventoried and recorded along with stocking and merchandizing the store and storage facilities to standards.


 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


 



  1. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized stockroom and offsite facility.
  2. Receive product in a timely manner by opening, unpacking, checking packing list against items received and recording merchandise in stock control systems.
  3. Stocks storage areas and store floor displays with new or transferred merchandise.
  4. Plans current and future methods of storage, identification, stock location and required space.
  5. Reviews stock control records for accuracy of information and stock levels.
  6. Prepares periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock.
  7. Complete merchandise transfers to other locations by sorting, packaging and sending.
  8. Briefing management on a daily basis regarding stock management.
  9. Communicating and responding to customer s needs.
  10. Completing objectives by following directions from management.
  11. Communicating and working with other associates.
  12. Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workplace to ensure set productivity objectives are met.

  • Must possess reliable transportation to move product for an indeterminate distance.
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software and Order processing systems.
  • Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be physically able to fulfill all performance requirement of the position.


 


Education/Experience

 



  • Must posses a minimum  High School diploma or GED



  • Understanding the use of computerized and automated systems.
