UI Scripter (ActionScript)
The UI Scripter must have a wide gamut of programming knowledge, including knowledge skinning 3D models and importing files from 3D animation programs. In addition, they must also have an eye for art, which helps in designing user interfaces and menus that are intuitive, eye pleasing, and easy to navigate.
Participates in the design and the realization of high quality user-interfaces ; works closely with the game designer and the art director; participates in the creative process of the menus and in-game interface elements (HUD). This includes but is not limited to: - Creating game menu mock-ups consistent with the game's art direction, Designing HUD (heads-up display) elements, Animating game menus and HUD elements in Flash
Duties: . In ActionScript; Programs, creates, and debugs User Interface aspects of games . Responsible for optimizing file size and configurations . Manipulates UI content and assets
What Skills? . 4 years with ActionScript (2.0 or 3.0) . Knowledge of Object Oriented Principles . Experience with Flash . Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator .
